To create a guide for policy makers, professionals and organisations that provides practical advice about how to support and improve the integration of asylum seekers for the Evolving Practice and Developing Policy conference in Glasgow in June 2005.
We created a compendium that housed a myriad of information from integration and learning through to citizenship and business training. The compendium took the form of a ring binder to ensure that it was adaptable and could hold additional information. We coloured coded the different topics and sections to ensure that it was user friendly and allow readers to easily dip in and out of the compendium.
The compendium was very well received at the conference and beyond and has been praised for its practical and straightforward layout.
What the client said:
“We are absolutely delighted with it. Part of our remit here is to innovate, and I think the original design work has played a very strong part in the innovation for this part of our work programme. The pack is very distinctive, and does not fall into stereotypes of what a 'council' style or 'Euro' style document looks like. It will, I suspect lead to lots of interesting conversations over the coming months.”
Richard Brunner, Senior Policy Development Officer, The ATLAS Partnership
